Famous Kyrgyz writer Chinghiz Aitmatov died in Nuremberg, Germany, as "Ekho Moskvy" radio informed. The writer, who turned 79, was taken to hospital with preliminary diagnosis of pneumonia and nephatony. Doctors were trying to save his life for two weeks but did not succeed.
Chinghiz Aitmatov was born in Kyrgyzstan in 1928. He become famous in the 1960s, when such novels as "The Mother's Field" and "The White Ship".
