 A 4-year-old girl, who had gone missing in Khakassia, was killed. A 17-year-old boy suspected of the murder was arrested, as Directorate for Investigation of the Investigation Committee of the Russian Prosecutor's Office reported.
Investigators established that the teenager took the girl away from home, where she was playing nearby, and strangled the child in the forest, 300 meters away from the village. The young man threw the girl's clothes into the river for it to be thought that the girl had drowned. He dug her body in the waste pile.
As the young man is under-aged, he faces up to 10 years' imprisonment fro this crime. He has previous convictions for a theft.
The suspect was taken into custody on June 7. Investigative and search actions are being taken.
As Newslab reported earlier, the 4-year-old girl went missing from her home in the village of Vershina Teyi, the Republic of Khakassia. The criminal case "Murder" (Article 105, Part 2, Point C) was opened on the fact of the child's disappearance.
