 Krasnoyarsk Territory Governor Alexander Khloponin is checking up the preparedness of northern districts for the beginning of the flooding season. On April 18 he left for Yeniseisky District to hold a meeting with the heads of the districts, emergency departments and services on preparedness for flooding in northern and eastern districts.
The meeting will take place in Yeniseisky District administration. The following officials are expected to participate in the meeting: mayors of Yeniseisk, Kansk, Lesosibirsk, heads of Boguchansky, Yeniseisky, Kazachinsky, Kuraginsky, Severo-Yeniseisky, Taseyevsky, Turukhansky Districts, and of the villages of Vorogovo, Zotino, and Yartsevo.
Before the meeting the governor will visit rescuing machinery which is used in emergency flooding situations. The governor also plans to visit an obstetrical center, which is being built in the town of Yeniseisk. The center will consist of a maternity welfare center and a hospital. About $5 million will be allocated for the project in 2008.
