4/7/2008 12:07:00 PM

A woman taxi firm owner suspected of kidnapping of a person was detained near Krasnoyarsk on April 5.

As a source in the law machinery reported, police arrested two unemployed men, aged 30 and 35, having previous criminal records, who had kidnapped a 20-year-old young man from a private house in Kazachinsky District of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The men are suspected of kidnapping the young man with a woman accomplice.

The kidnappers took him to a desolate area, where they demanded $4,000 for a car he had damaged in a car accident when working in the taxi firm.

A criminal case was opened for kidnapping of a person (Article 126 of the Russian Federation Criminal Code). The Krasnoyarsk Territory interior department promised to comment on the case later.
