The average wages in Russia must increase up to $1 thousand in Russia in the next two or three years. State Duma speaker and "United Russia" party leader Boris Gryzlov announced it at the opening of the 6th Congress of Independent Trade Unions Federation of Russia.
The speaker noted that there was such an initiative in the national project "Worthy Labor" worked out by "United Russia". The project is scheduled to be presented at the party congress in Yekaterinburg on December, 2, Itar-Tass reports.
Gryzlov said the project would be aimed at the improvement of working conditions and solution of unemployment problem in Russia. In particular, he suggests that growth of personal incomes in Russia would be by 15-20% annually.
Minimal Monthly Wages will be introduced for private companies in all the regions in 2007, Gryzlov added. In B. Gryzlov's opinion, the MMW would constituted 2,000 rubles ($75) in 2007.
According to Russian Federal Statistics Service, the average wages in Russia in September were $410, or 24.3% higher than in September, 2005. The MMW is $40 in Russia now.
