European Commission has included Russia into top five world's counterfeit manufacturers. The research has shown that Russia took the second place in the list of counterfeit manufacturers among 290 companies and industrial groups of 63 countries of the world. Russia is behind China only in this list. The three others in top five are: the Ukraine, Chile and Turkey.
It is remarked in the report by European Commission that efforts made by governments of these countries to protect the rights for intellectual property are not enough yet, RBC reports. EC is ready to help them to struggle against piracy but it will not accept systematic violation of patent law, is stressed in the document. China makes EC especially angry. This country makes two thirds of the amount of counterfeits at European markets. Local industrial companies working at the Chinese market lose more than $1 bn and software manufacturers – more than $3.5 bn because of local piracy annually.
China and Russia appeared in one more black list at top positions. The Russian Federation, India and China are top three most corrupted exporters in the world. There is such an outcome in the report of Transparency International published recently.
According to Transparency International, Russian exporters use dishonest methods of business doing abroad more often than others. They make a way to foreign markets with the help of bribes, in particular. Russia is in the third place in the black list with 5.16 points of 10 maximal (the less the number, the more corrupted a country is), following India and China only. Turkey is not far from Russia in this list too, being the fourth. Switzerland, Sweden and Australia are the least corrupted states. However, the results of the leaders are far from perfection: 7.7 points of 10 maximal in average. The USA is in the 10th place, behind most of European Countries and Canada.
