20 people died as a result of a fire in Kyzyl hostel. As an IA KNews correspondent was informed by the press service of Siberian Regional Center of Ministry for Emergencies of Russia, rescuers found 20 bodies of the dead as a result of the fire in Kyzyl hostel by 6 a. m. (of local time). 18 people were injured, and there were 7 children among them.
All the injured were hospitalized with burns and traumas to Kyzyl hospitals. Two injured (grown-ups) are in a grave state, the rest are in middle and light state.
Two temporary placement posts of the citizens, evacuated from the fire site, were opened: comprehensive school №12 and kindergarten №38 – 142 people are placed there, and there are 60 women and 36 children among them. They are provided with hot nutrition and bed belongings.
The situation is under the charge of Ministry for Civil Defense and Emergencies of Tuva Republic and Siberian Regional Center. An operative group of Siberian Rescue Center has been sent to the accident site.
It is worth reminding that the fire had started in the hostel of Kyzyl Thermal Energy Power Station on November, 10. The two-storey building burned out late at night, when all its inhabitants – about 90 people – had been already sleeping. According to the calculations of the firemen, they managed to localize the fire only in three hours. The first floor of the building collapsed. A criminal case was incited on this fact by Public Prosecutors’ Office of Tuvan Republic.
