At present 112 HIV-positive people have been officially detected in Khakasiya, said the Republic Government press service July, 7. 39 people, diagnosed HIV, have come from other regions. They are mostly residents of Krasnoyarsk Territory (27 people), Irkutsk (3 people) and Moscow region (3 people). Shirinskiy District, Abakan and Sayanogorsk are leading in number of ill people. 13 HIV-positive people have already died, four of them with AIDS. Their age is from 15 to 40. The HIV infection is more often sexually-transmitted now.
